A first video, for debugging the system and testing all the technology. This was made with my old Logitech camera because the newer (but still low-end and cheap) Creative camera couldn't handle more than about 6fps. I have, as mentioned in the video, a nicer camera on order, but I didn't want to wait.
Still experimenting with lighting and so on, and I had so much trouble
trying to compile a video editor that would really work, I ended up
giving up on that and just edited the video by writing a bash script that
invokes Ffmpeg a bunch of times to cut out the right clips from the source
material, upsample a still image to video for insertion, and splice everything
together into a final form. And I wrote this description with
cat > filename.
In this house, we take the command line seriously.
